Come Meet Me, Paul Rosenblatt, the Vinyl Record Architect

April 16, 2011, is the Fifth Annual Record Store Day. In honor of Record Store Day, I will be spending the day at Jerry's Records. Come see me and say hello. I'll be sitting under the tent in front of the store. While Jerry is  giving away thousands and thousands of records - he says 10,000! - I'll be there to meet you and say hello! I don't have a book to sign and I'm not a celebrity, but if you stop by to say hello, I'll give you a list of my 100 Favorite Records of the 1970s.

Woo Hoo!

Seriously, please stop by and say hello. We can argue about my list. I'm sure I forgot a few great ones.....

      Dear Ken,

Thanks for picking up my best of the 70s flyer at Jerry's on Record Store Day. Hope you had a good time there - I certainly did!
Nice suggestions for adding to the list which, BTW, I will be posting in its original form on this blog shortly.

I had forgotten about Hobo's Lullabye, but that is also one of my favorite records. I played the crap out of that when it came out and still have my old copy which I listen to, skips and all. You are not the only person to suggest adding Live at Fillmore East, but I am a Allman Brothers band latecomer, dare I admit - not that I haven't heard all the songs a million times on the radio - so I am still getting up to speed on which albums I like best...I especially like the first one - pre-1970s - and Idlewild South alot. I am a huge Van fan and no doubt St. Dominics belongs on the list as well. Rod Stewart and Faces albums - all fantastic from that era and hard to choose from. One of my favorite all time tracks is Maybe I'm Amazed off of Long Player.

Uh, how many albums can I put on my Top 100 list?
