Washington DC - America's VINYL Capital?

Planning a trip to DC and have discovered that there is a sort of vinyl district in Adams Morgan neighborhood. Three stores look promising within ten minute walk of Dupont Circle metro stop.They are Crooked Beat Records - open til ten on Saturday nights, Red Onion Records - only open til 8 - and Som Records - open til 'Late' according to their website.

Will let you know what I find inside. In the meantime, here is the modest exterior of the Crooked Beat - architecturally 'unassuming!'
